South Africa's most powerful nano-satellite is orbiting Earth, after being launched into space this morning. The nearly 18 million rand ZACUBE-2 was a joint endeavour between the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, Stellenbosch University, the CSIR and a number of private companies. It was launched with the Russian Soyuz Kanopus mission from Siberia, together with other small satellites from the United States, Japan, Spain, and Germany. To discuss this further, I'm joined on skype by the Deputy Director General at the Department of Science and Technology; Mmboneni Muofhe. For more news, visit: sabcnews.com
