Tentative trial date set for Warren County teen accused of killing baby

WARREN COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) - There's a new trial date for a Carlisle teen accused of killing her newborn baby and burying it in the backyard.

Prosecutors and Brooke Skylar Richardson's defense team met Tuesday with a Warren County judge to decide on a Sept. 3 trial. 

That could change if the Ohio Supreme Court decides to take the defense's appeal. They argue statements Richardson made to her doctor should not be admitted as evidence.

Richardson faces charges including murder and abuse of a corpse for her daughter's May 2017 death.
