This is a simple song about appreciating life's moments that took on a deeper meaning when my Stepfather died this past weekend. Jim was a wonderful man who was largely responsible for helping my Mom emerge from her cocoon and become the free spirit she is today. We are forever in your debt, Jim, for your kindness, generosity and good humor. I know where you are today and I only hope I can follow in your footsteps to see you again. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Easy now, let's take it slow Life moves fast enough on its own Every day's another passing life Lose yourself, find again Faith you sold for thickened skin In our ways, we're simply passing time Let the waves drift past Safe on the shore at last Tomorrow will never find you here Fireside, soaking in Lips tender on your skin In every way, we're only passing by Let awareness melt away Secure in this warm embrace Secure in this passing life Let the waves drift past Safe on the shore at last Tomorrow will never find you here Easy now, let's take it slow Life moves fast enough on its own Every day's another passing life Another passing life ------------------------------------------- Since I will be spending some time with my family over the next week or so, I will likely be tardy responding to comments, if I can respond at all. Please accept this note as a token of my gratitude for commenting/rating/sharing. You are the fuel that keeps my fires lit. Justin
