I write sporadically for projects that I want to direct, but I'd love to get better at it! Here are a few tips and tricks from people who write and people who want to, including how to handle some of the many pitfalls and traps that can take down even the most seasoned of us!

A lot of you are writers by the sound of it...or certainly plan on being. If you're anything like me you're looking for inspiration and advice and any quick fixes to common writing problems like too many ideas, or finding time to write or what are the best tools or inspirations out there. I've combed the comments that you have all so kindly left on my Written Off video and put them together into this video that rambles on for so long that I actually lose the sun. Sorry it took so long to upload...it's a huge file and wouldn't upload via the iphone as usual, plus I wanted to edit it down a bit (yes, I know, it's hard to believe it was actually longer than this to start!). I've now got myself a shiny new version of Final Cut Pro X and that seems to have done the trick and solved all the annoying audio sync issues that come from editing variable frame rate iphone videos on the old FCP or Premiere...or just about anything for that matter!?
