Love blossoms under the warm Italian sun in this sparkling romance. After enduring her final session of chemotherapy, Danish hairdresser Ida (Trine Dyrholm) is looking forward to her daughter's wedding in Italy. But before she can fly off to the sun-dappled lemon groves of Sorrento, Ida discovers that her husband Leif (Kim Bodnia) has been having an affair. Distraught, she decides to make the trip alone but at the airport accidentally prangs the car of a man named Philip (Pierce Brosnan) - her future son-in-law's father! A hard-nosed, widowed businessman who is making the same flight, Philip is livid at the incident but nevertheless agrees to fly out to Italy with Ida. That is if they can be civil with each other for more than five minutes at a time! But as the wedding gets underway at Philip's picturesque villa (which he's left abandoned since his wife's death), a charming romance begins to blossom between these two complete opposites.
