There were: temples; old banks; museums; ancient residential houses; the 6.4km city wall and towers surrounding the town and walkable on top. You could hire a bicycle or just stroll the narrow streets. We never got tired of walking around with the constantly changing scene of tourists and locals still going about their daily chores. Do visit Pingyao and stay more than one day...
