Transcript: http://abrahamsfaith.blogspot.com/2010/03/in-bondage-to-god.html When one takes into account that the lamb was one of the dieties revered by the Egyptians, it then becomes apparent why sacrificing the lamb on Passover and smearing its blood on the doorposts was such a great testimony of G-d's Singularity and that one must worship Him alone. The Israelites were slaughtering the lamb, an Egyptian god, before the very eyes of the Egyptians who were already furious at these rebellious slaves. Is there a greater expression of total reliance and surrender to G-d, and rebellion against wicked oppressors, than what is expressed in the message of Passovor?
