Kahumoku workshop footage from 2010. This is just a short montage out of 6 hours of footage that I got throughout the week. For this year's short clip I'm focusing on footage of the younger students. There were many different groups and types of people this year - old and young, local and foreign. There were folks from Japan, the US Mainland, other islands, a bunch of members from other musical Ohanas - For this video I decided to focus on a theme: "The Next Generation." There are mostly shots of new students learning, and the older students who have been attending for a few years already, now serving as teachers. I included as many of the instructors as I could, trying to give a overview of all that happened throughout the week, while using shots that I felt represented "Passing on the Knowledge" or the "Next Generation" theme.
