I was very reluctant about sharing this video, but I just needed to do it. For Simon. That's the least I can do for him. Videos for me have become something like a personal diary, so what you see in this channel is always the truth. There might be questions about this particular video, so here are the answers to all the possible questions I think you might have: I am not a vegetarian. I stopped eating pork since I met Simon. I don't eat duck either, because I used to have a pet duck that I adored. Since Simon, I eat less and less meat every week. I might be a vegetarian one day, but I'm not sure. There's a video about a pig in this channel because I am convinced that pigs make excellent, loving and loyal pets. I couldn't rescue Simon, because legally there was nothing to rescue him from. I couldn't rescue Simon, because there is no such thing as "pig rescue" in Greece, Simon belonged to someone else who raised him since he was a piglet and even if I did tried to rescue him, there would be nowhere for him to be placed. The only thing I could do was try to have Simon live in the property where he was raised and take over the expenses. I did try to do that but I got laughed at. I was sure he was going to be killed in wintertime - we usually have pork for Christmas in Greece, so I thought I would have enough time this summer to make him mine and convince the owner to spare his life. I was wrong. Or I was late. I am a dog rescuer and always will be. We feed emaciated and starved dogs meat in order for them to recover, and thinking about the life of farm animals when I have a dying dog in front of me is not a priority - or it's simply too much information and I choose to ignore it. Thanks for reading the above. I'll stick to rescuing dogs and cats. I do dream about having a sanctuary one day, but my priority will always be man's best friend.
