Dick Soergel was one of the most prolific athletes in OSU history, lettering in three sports during his time in Stillwater. Although he led the Pokes to postseason success in football and basketball, Soergel's most important contribution to Oklahoma State came on the baseball diamond. Soergel was the winning pitcher for the Cowboys in the 1959 NCAA National Championship game.
