Amsterdam Marathon: Linet Masai to make debut as Lawrence Cherono battles Kenanisa

Former 10,000m world champion Linet Masai will make her marathon debut on Sunday at the Amsterdam Marathon.
Masai will be up against former 5,000m World Champion Meseret Defar of Ethiopia, who is also making her marathon debut. In the men's race defending champion Lawrence Cherono will face Ethiopia’s distance running legend Kenenisa Bekele. Cherono has been training in Kaptagat in Eldoret County, and will be fighting for the win against Bekele, who's considered one of the greatest long distance runners of all time.
