We went for a drive this evening to look for wolves around Thompson, Manitoba. Instead we found ourselves at a lake just north of town watching beavers! It was my first time watching beavers in the wild and it was a lot of fun. They were swimming around with branches, eating branches in the water and carrying sticks to the lodge. We even saw a baby beaver playing with an adult, who then went on to groom himself and his big webbed feet. The final shot is two beavers slapping their tails at the same time. Pretty cool!
