Hello there my friends, now I'm just warning you now that you may need tissues to listen to this one, and I only say that because I cry when I sing it...so, when I get teary-eyed in this video it is partly acting and partly not!

I wrote this song when I was 18 as part of my original musical "Avery Greene". The story of Avery Greene, set in the mid-nineteen-nineties, follows a young New Zealand man, Avery, who has ambitions to be a dancer and has trained practically his whole life to become one. He is accepted into a dance school overseas, his parents are thrilled and everything is wonderful - that is until his Mother Elsbeth is diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease. Avery's plans are quickly disrupted as he has little intention to be away from his Mother while she is deteriorating, and when she could have very little time left. Avery meets a whole new group of misfit friends who encourage him to keep dancing, but his biggest inspiration comes in the form of the one person he loves most - his Mum. She sings this song to remind him of his life-long dream, and to let him know that this is what she wants, and has wanted so long, for her son, as they prepare to say goodbye.

I hope you enjoy the song and sorry if it makes you blub...

Peace and love,
Renee.
