Come with me as I walk from the school I teach at to my apartment building.  It's raining, it's cold and I apologize for my voice sounding like I'm out of breath.  It was very chilly and my fingers were numb.  I just wanted to give you all a feel for the "real Korea" as I walk around in the cold rain.  

The majority of the residential buildings in my neighborhood are known as "villas", which are 4 to 5 story tall apartment buildings.  They usually sport an open roof top where people hang laundry or store giant pots of fermenting soy and red pepper pastes.
