On route to the port of Mostyn, the specially designed barge, "Afon Dyfrdwy" ships another set of world-beater, A380 airliner wings, fresh from construction at the Airbus factory in Broughton, North Wales. Production of A-380 wings ended in February 2020 and here, seen passing under the famous "Hawarden Bridge" railway crossing of the river Dee, is the barge which carried one of the last to be built at the factory. With another example of a high-value, cutting edge enterprise on the beam, the wing makes a respectful nod to the TATA Special Coatings, steel plant at Shotton. This clip is part of a volunteer community project, led by local community media-archivist, John Butler to celebrate and document something of the heritage of Deeside townships and people. These scenes were filmed from the Dee river-tours dory, "May" with the kind cooperation of Quay Watermen River Tours, based at Kathleen & may Heritage Centre Connahs Quay, Flintshire. links: https://www.pesmedia.com/airbus-a380-final-wing-broughton-100220/ Music: "Think Tank" by Audionautix is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) Artist: http://audionautix.com/
