Areas along and north of I-96 finally got some solid drought relief, though maybe too much of a good thing at once. Muskegon County was particularly hard hit with both damaging wind gusts (from the initial squall line) and street flooding from the 3-5 inches of rain that fell overnight. I filmed the initial line from a quiet rural area as it rolled into eastern Muskegon county. I arrived back in Grand Rapids around midnight. Just when as I was about to go to bed a barrage of powerful CGs occurred almost directly overhead. I grabbed my camera and ran to the garage to film. Beware headphone users! This storm is LOUD!
