The United States has publicly blamed North Korea, for unleashing the so-called 'WannaCry' cyber attack that crippled hospitals, banks and other companies across the globe earlier this year. The White House Homeland security adviser, Thomas Bossert, made the accusation in an opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal newspaper. Bossert said they did not make the allegation lightly as it is based on evidence. According to an official, the US Government assessed with a "very high level of confidence" that a hacking entity known as Lazarus Group. Which works on behalf of the North Korean government, carried out the WannaCry attack. The global attack is said to have hit more than 300-thousand computers in 150 Nations, causing billions of dollars of damage.
