Sedibeng District clinic workers set to return to work

Hundreds of workers at 45 clinics in the Sedibeng District on the Vaal will return to work on Tuesday 11th September 2018. This follows talks with the Gauteng Health Department. The workers affiliated to four health sector unions DENOSA, NEHAWU, the Public Servants Association and HOSPERSA had been on strike since last Thursday. It centred on allegations of corruption at the district. Operations at several clinics in Emfuleni, Midvaal and Lesedi were disrupted, while services at others were brought to a halt.
