PART 1 of the MEDDLE TRIPTYCH. A unique, three-album review that strangely all comes together in its own interesting way. Pink Floyd's Meddle set a new standard in psychedelic progressive rock, and really launched Pink Floyd into the big time. The band already had smelled success at this point, however, after this album, the band would create some of the most recognized artistic rock of the 1970s with Dark Side of the Moon, Animals, Wish You Were Here and The Wall. Its also marked by its centerpiece song, "Echoes" which defines this album as something more than just your causal, hang-out-and-smoke-a-bowl musical experience. But how has it influenced the music of the future?
