Funny Car pilot Gordie Smith kindly took some time out to have a word with us about the great progress that the team have been making with the Dave Bryant-tuned nitro-guzzling Mustang Funny car. The car appeared pretty consistently over the weekend especially considering the coolness of the track. Gordon and Dave hope to run really quickly at the Main event, depending on how deep their pockets are at the time...! Gordie's later final round appearance against Jahne Ahonen disappointinglh ended up with disqualification after Gordie unfortunately took out the timing lights as he crossed lanes at the finish line. Bad luck to Gordie & the team - next time will be a different story, I'm sure.
