A Triple Crown Party was held Saturday, June 6, at the Washington Farmers’ Market, on the same day as the Belmont Stakes, the third leg of the Triple Crown. The event featured a hat contest, horse race games, raffles, drawings, food, music, games and specialty drinks associated with each of the races. Entertainment was provided by Mick Byrd, who played folk music. The Washington Area Chamber of Commerce sponsored the party.
