During the Today Show on January 3, 2017, Al Roker welcomes those watching in Boston, where the NBC network moved to a new channel (owned and operated by the network) just two days prior. Also included is the local weather insert from the new NBC Boston affiliate, WBTS. Also of note near the end of the video is Katie Couric sitting next to Matt Lauer at the anchor desk - she has returned to the Today Show for the week of Jan. 2-6 while Savannah Guthrie is on maternity leave.
