Saudi-led airstrikes on Yemen have killed at least 43 people and wounded 61 others on Thursday and NGOs are condemning the attack. The Malaysian Consultative Council for Islamic Organization (MAPIM), the South-East Asia Ulama Secretariat (SHURA) and The People's Welfare Association (SEJAGAT), are describing the attack as inhumane and a war crime. They said the strikes that were conducted in a busy and public area proved that the perpetrators ignored innocent lives especially that of women and children. The NGOs stressed that this was not the first time that the killing of civilians was launched by the coalition. They urged the international community to stand in solidarity and demand that the responsible party be brought to justice. The NGOs also demanded for the United Nations (UN) Security Council and the Organization of Islamic Countries to convene immediately and take a stand on the issue.
