Career burglar sentenced to 88 years in prison in Dearborn County

DEARBORN COUNTY, Ind. (WKRC) - A career burglar has been sentenced to 88 years in prison in Dearborn County. Jeffrey Henderson had pleaded guilty to 17 counts last month.

Henderson and his mother, Bonnie Henderson, were arrested last November after a string of daytime burglaries in Manchester Township from August through October.

Sheriff's detectives used social media to ask for information about the burglaries. They received some tips that led them to the Hendersons. A search of their home led to the discovery of some of the stolen property.

Bonnie Henderson was found to have driven Jeffrey to some of the burglaries. She's already been sentenced to ten years in prison, with four years suspended.

During Jeffrey Henderson's sentencing, Judge Humphrey cited his previous 19 convictions, most of which were burglaries, for the 88-year sentence.
