Hi, welcome to a new Prositetutorials video. In this series, I talk about the top 5 plugins I strongly recommend

you to use because they're extremely powerful and helpful.

The first plugin I review is called, "Akismet." Really a weird name, but that doesn't stop it from being amazing.

What is Akismet? Why should you use it?

Well, I am guessing if you just started a website. You probably wrote a few posts and left your comment section

opened. I am pretty sure that it only took a few days or even hours until you saw the huge problem, which was?

Spam and more comment spam. You might have tried deleting it manually. But it just keeps on coming so what

is the solution?

Akismet Wordpress plugin! This plugin will block about 99% of your daily spam. In other words, it will turn your

life as a webmaster a lot easier. In this video, I show how to install it and alter a few options.

Even thought the installation is easy, you still need to get an API key. This is basically a password that you need to activate Akismet on your website.
