In-flight connectivity, which was initially tailored to suit business travelers, has now become part of mainstream. JetBlue recently announced a free WiFi service with 12Mbps to each passenger. This is made possible with a new generation of high capacity Ka-band satellites that fundamentally alter the economics of aeronautical broadband.
