Depression Wukong [Quinta] has formed this Christmas morning (classified as Tropical Storm already by JMA), and is expected to become a minimal tropical storm as it passes over the Philippines later today and tomorrow. The storm is expected to move over the Samar area of Visayas late today, and emerge on the other side of the Philippines after crossing a number of other islands by the beginning of December 27. Wind is not expected to be damaging, albeit gusty, and rain will be the main threat from this storm, with flooding rains possible. Stay safe out there.
