A few weeks ago Energy Minister Jeff Radebe released an updated Integrated Resource Plan - IRP - for public input for a period of 60 days. The plan in its current form sees a halt to nuclear power expansion plans until 2030 and will instead mainly expand renewables, gas, and hydropower. The Nuclear Industry is concerned and will this week be gathering stakeholders to prepare a response as part of the public input afforded by government.
