Tanzania is in mourning after a ferry christened MV Nyerere sank in Lake Victoria on Thursday with hundreds of passengers on board.
At least 42 people have been confirmed dead and government officials feared the final death toll could be more than 200, as rescue efforts resumed this morning.
Investigations into the cause of the incident are yet to start proper as authorities battle to save lives and retrieve bodies.
