Supriyo Sen states that it is too brash and judgmental to term Non-fiction as not entertaining cinema. It can happen only due to a lack of awareness or some vested interest. There is no point in confusing non-fiction films with the typical documentaries produced by the Films Division. Nowadays, non-fiction films have extremely engaging storytelling and even lighter subjects are also dealt in it. While on the other hand, Sen points out, that the so-called fiction films are simply a con job in the name of entertainment relying solely on publicity for its financial success.
