Theatre director Bibhas Chakraborty laments about the contracted reach of Bengali theatre. Theatre has almost sold its soul to mercantile economics. Furthermore, there is a lack of spine to think out of the box and a deteriorated audience which are adding to the woes. There is also a further dilemma about the Government grants which often do more harm than good!
