AURORA, Ind. (WKRC) - A small Catholic school in Indiana pulled off a Christmas miracle. St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception in Aurora was at risk of closing. Declining enrollment and fewer people attending mass meant less income for the parish and school. The school had until Dec. 31 to raise $400,000 to ensure it would reopen in 2019. It reached its goal Monday. Now, it will be able to pay off a loan from the archdiocese and restructure the budget for 2019.
