Two individuals believed to have connection to an arson attack on the home of a Customs Department principal assistant director in Presint 11, Putrajaya have been remanded for three days.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Commissioner Datuk Mazlan Lazim said both suspects aged 48 and 49 were detained yesterday based on close-circuit television (CCTV), footage obtained from the scene.

From the recording, the duo were seen riding a motorcycle and loitering around the location before stopping nearby where the incident took place.

Investigations showed both suspects were involved in a similiar arson attack against the same Customs official last year.

In the 3.30am incident last week, suspected arsonists torched four cars belonging to 59-year old Nor Azman Mat Jini, who is with the federal Customs GST enforcement division.
