This was our first state park campground. What did we expect? A picturesque country-side campground with lots of wild animals. The reality? It was pretty much what we expected. We loved the "free" washers and dryers (included in the price of camping). They allow pets. The staff was very helpful and the proximity to New Orleans just can't be beat. 

We weren't big fans of the cold, stainless steel finishings in the bathrooms. It was compounded by the cold weather. 

Otherwise we liked it and appreciated that the campsites were nicely spaced out. We'll definitely stay here again the next time we pass through New Orleans. 

****Get a site as close to site 19 as possible. This is closer to bath house and Wifi router. The farther away from this site, the worse the wifi connection will be.
