US-35 Construction Closures Begin Today

DAYTON-- Expect some slowdowns on US-35 through Dayton today.
Starting Tuesday, there is going to be lane closures between Abbey Avenue and James H. McGee Boulevard. The lanes will close starting at 7:00 Tuesday morning. There will be a lane closure in the East and West bound lane on US-35.
You can expect to see the barricades in place from from 7:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. today.
There will be two open lanes in each direction.
This construction will continue through Thursday.
As we head into spring, construction in Dayton will pick up. Right now, we are in Phase 1-B of the I-75 modernization project. During this phase, crews will replace aging pavement and bridges along I-75 just South of Downtown Dayton.
The project will create three continuous lanes of traffic on I-75 in both directions, North of the Edwin C. Moses exit to the area South of Fifth Street in Dayton.
Drivers are being reminded to slow down and to be on the lookout for construction crews.
