I'm working on a secret arduino project that should be done in a few weeks. One of the sensors I need is a temperature sensor. I asked ICstation to send me a few parts that I can try out and this is one of them. It's a DS18B20 temperature sensor module. The difference from getting just the DS18B20 by itself and then this module is you get a more breadboard friendly interface and it already has a 4.7k pullup resistor on the data line. It worked very well, and it can send temperature information once every second from what I saw. There is a small delay in the temperature rise and fall since the hea and/or cold needs to go through the plastic housing. This feature may be good as it will help dampen any majot temperature swings you may encounter. You can get the library with examples that I used in this demonstration here: http://www.hacktronics.com/Tutorials/arduino-1-wire-tutorial.html You find the product I reviewed here: http://www.icstation.com/product_info.php?products_id=1974#.U5uRcf6u6mh background music provided by ASON-ID under creative commons free use license.
