Tembin has finally devolved into an extratropical remnant after making landfall in South Korea, just days after Bolaven did. The storm has so far killed two in South Korea, and has caused minor to moderate damage. Tembin reached its peak early on, attaining a wind speed of 130mph and a pressure of 945mb whilst off the east coast of the Philippines. Tembin began to weaken before restrengthening into a Category 3 storm shortly before its first landfall in Taiwan. The storm then weakened to a weak Category 1 typhoon, before strengthening to reach Category 3 status for a third time in the South China Sea. The storm weakened once more before moving past Taiwan, accelerating into South Korea and then losing its tropical characteristics. The storm caused record rains in Taiwan, and significant rains causing landslides in South Korea. Comments on how well I covered this storm are welcome, as well as any suggested improvements for future storms.
