Watch Hugh Davies, Proprietor of Schramsberg Vineyards, shares his expertise about entertaining at home with sparkling wine in this video. The second-generation vintner takes us to tour his winery and walks through his 2-mile long cave inspecting his sparkling wines.

Davies suggests opting for sparkling wine that has been fermented in a traditional way. He tags wines made from chardonnay and the pinot grapes as being perfect for home entertaining and elaborates that sparkling wine is not only right and proper for casual occasions like birthdays and Christmas but for a host of other, more formal occasions too.  Davis reveals that white wines can be easily substituted for sparkling wines. 

He suggests serving the wine in beautiful long flute glasses from Pottery Barn to create the right feel for its rich taste. The best feature about these wines is that they are truly refreshing in every sense of the word.
