A Flag Pole Race is a straight up bare knuckle brawl to take the checkered flag. The only rule is that you don't hit someones driver side door. Other than that, it's a no holds barred battle to take the lead. I blew a tire on the first turn thanks to some sharp metal sticking out of the Blazer that piles into me, and shut down later in the race when I noticed smoke coming out from under the hood. Turned out to be a loose brake master cylinder reservoir cap spraying brake fluid onto the exhaust. No big deal.
