Rinpoche began the teaching by explaining that Buddha looks at all causative phenomena as impermanent, but we believe that it is real from its own side and totally believe that. We live our life like this, believing causative phenomena as permanent, while it is in the nature of impermanence. On that basis, all the other delusions arise. If you don’t practice dharma then no matter how many millions of dollars you have, you will be dissatisfied. Rinpoche explained that all the suffering comes from cherishing the I, but cherishing others is the source of happiness for yourself and others. It is opening the door of happiness up to enlightenment. The minute you change from self-cherishing thought into cherishing others, right there you have found happiness. Then all beings are close to you, all are like your family, and wherever you go there is great happiness. Cherishing others and working for others is the best life and living life cherishing I is a suffering life. Rinpoche then spoke on how everything comes from the mind. Without labelling, there is no appearance of the object. Rinpoche then explained how the I appears according to the four schools and how all the problems, individually and globally, come from the wrong concept, from ignorance. Rinpoche then explained the benefits of Medicine Buddha, mentioning that if you have any problems then to do Medicine Buddha puja.
