This song places its roots in a very common theme, "take my hand and we will find a better place". Music archives are peppered with songs of similar stories, my personal favorite being Bruce Springsteen's "Across the Border". In fact, once I figured out what this tune was trying to say, I borrowed quite liberally from that song, even going as far as adding a line into mine as a tip of the cap in Bruce's direction. Thank you for listening/commenting/rating/sharing. Your support is much appreciated. Lyrics ------------------------------------ Daylight beckons us my love Hold tight beneath the stars above Run away with me One taste and you will see We'll leave it all behind As we step into.... Daylight Waters, blue waters wash away our sins Borders, across is where life begins Run away with me One touch is all you need To leave the past behind As we step into... Daylight So let's go tonight Escape the dark of night And never look behind When we step into....
