The Federal Government has allocated RM300 million for the development that will help fulfil nine promises made to the people of Bachok, Kelantan. Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the allocation was not merely due to the upcoming general elections but to prove that the government is always concerned and committed to the welfare of the people. The promises included the construction of a hospital, a Kolej Profesional Mara and the building of a bridge across Sungai Kemasin in Kampung Pengkalan Ali. Datuk Seri Zahid also approved an allocation of RM6 million to help with building and repairing homes and mosques as well as construction of a building for the fishermen’s association. He added that the Federal Government has done a lot for the people of Kelantan and Bachok and requested that they give a chance to Barisan Nasional. (Soundbite of Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi / Deputy Prime Minister Subtitle: There is no reason to choose a tank without water. The water meter is moving but only air is released. The only huge water tank that can be brought to Kelantan, Bachok, is a tank from Putrajaya under the Barisan Nasional. Enough. Just give a chance and I will assure promises will be fulfilled.)
