Mexico, US NAFTA agreement piles pressure on Canada to follow suit

The Pressure is on Canada to wrap up talks on renegotiations on the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), with talks set to continue in earnest, in the first week of September. Earlier in the week, Mexico and the US agreed on a reform of NAFTA, and that's now put pressure on Canada to agree to new trade terms on the auto trade, and dispute resolution. Canada's Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland described talks between her and the US Trade Representative as very constructive, after their meeting on the 28th of August.
