You couldn't possibly use this as an everyday flashlight unless your using the shoulder strap and are some kind of night watchman. This is one bright flashlight and worth the $. It's a great flashlight to leave in the car, bring car camping for spotlighting animals at night an so on. Obviously you can think of many uses for a flashlight of this size. Plus it's waterproof, drop proof to 1 meter, has up to a 550 yard beam throw.
