On February 16, 2009 in Chase Gymnasium, the Biola community and honored guests joined together for a special commissioning chapel for The School of Education, featuring Dr. Al Mijares, speaking on "The Call to Educate the Next Generation." The chapel also featured a ceremonial charge to Education students, faculty and staff and a symbolic commissioning prayer.
