For categorizing, sorting, and pricing- the commercial introduction of barcodes in 1966 seemed something like a godsend. But with increased acceptance came increased competition and now companies have to work hard to give their bar code readers the competitive edge. Solution and Research (or SR) is a Japanese company whose two new products: the SR-800 barcode reader, and the two touch screens (GOT-1840 and GOT-3120T) may just be the edge they need. The SR-800 is priced very competitively at about 6,000 yen.
