Visit http://jandjacres.net for this and other family activities. Members from several local Parent Educators And Kids (PEAK) home schooling networks went on a field trip to the A Stroka Gene-Us Alpaca farm in Stringer, MS. Watch and see all of the interesting things we learned and the craft we did while at the farm. Alpacas have no top teeth! So it tickles when they eat from your hand. Their fiber can be dyed with many different types of dyes! The fiber can be spun for many uses or made into a felt. You can use the fiber as a type of loofah to extend the life of soap and make some really good lather.
