"Heroes are ordinary people who make themselves extraordinary" - Gerard Way Rescuers can be all sorts of people. We are all so different, that if we met under different circumstances, most of us would not even waste five minutes getting to know each other better. You can’t spot us on the streets, because we aren’t really made of anything special, we don’t look alike, we don’t share the same taste in clothes, political views, music, lifestyle. I often read comments like: “people who do this are angels” and it sounds so weird. Because people who do this are actually all sorts of people. They are old, young, weird, social, antisocial, beautiful, ugly, tall, short, skinny, fat, conservatives, liberals, gay, asexual, sexy, neurotic, optimistic, pessimistic, boring, fun, kind, rude. They -we- have nothing in common, except for one and only thing. We are not heroes, nor angels, nor anything special. We are just your next door neighbors. This video is a remake of one of my oldest ones, that was first posted three years ago. New rescues, new faces, new experiences made me want to remind you (and myself) of all the above.
