CINCINNATI (Sydney Benter) -- If you're just passing through the Tri-State, it's easy enough to hop on I-275 and avoid this catastrophic scene, but it's forcing many drivers just trying to get around town to find other routes.

Traffic at the end of Central Parkway near Cincinnati State is moving smoothly.

Commuters seem to have really listened to the warning from the city about avoiding that stretch of I-75 just down the way.

It helped that schools like Cinci State notified students about the closure overnight.

Students had time to plan their commutes accordingly.

One student who said that this forced her to find an alternative route to class that she likes better.

"Instead of getting on [I-75] It was 20 minutes,‚ said student Bekah McDonald. ‚“No traffic and I didn't hit many traffic lights either."

Of course there were some students who hadn't heard about the closure and were late to campus today, but for the most part mostly everyone took note of the traffic changes and made alternate plans.
