VLOG_072 is about the Kolbenova flea market in Prague. However, it's more of a test run with the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4k. I wanted to get a feel for what the camera is capable of in a run and gun or vlogging type of situation so that I can make adjustments, etc. I was mainly looking at how well I could film myself with the camera without an external monitor and without autofocus (using an SLR Magic cine lens, 10mm). I also wanted to come up with strategies for filming handheld without a stabilizer to do pans and tilts and simple moves. There is no image stabilization in this camera or in the lens that I was using. I also wanted to test to see if the camera's internal mics could produce usable audio if I was put in a situation that I had to rely on them (the interview with the photographer was shot with the camera's internal mics). It all came out pretty well -- I only tanked a few shots, some of which I included for reference -- but I will need to make some adjustments going forward. I do recommend a gimbal or locking on if using lenses with longer focal lengths. This was shot in 1080p, prores 422, log and was graded neutrally, with no luts, but a slight 16mm film grain was added.
